Learn the foundation skills of slate hedging, whilst taking part in the start of creating ‘An Awhesyth’ – a large scale land artwork and community space imagined by artist and conservationist Andrew Whittle.
This course is suitable for both beginners and those with some experience.
Beginners can learn the fundamental principles and techniques needed to build a strong and long lasting hedge, becoming familiar with the tools and the working of the stone.
Those with more experience, wanting to learn another style of hedging can get to grips with pitched slate hedging.
