Ruth’s walks explore woodlands, meadows, and coastal paths, sharing herbal wisdom, ethics, identification, and tastings. We learn about the science and energetics of the cleansing native plant medicines of Spring.

The medicines of summer offer a heady, upward and opening energy through their rejuvenative effects, this is a time of abundance in nature. We may discuss medicinal flowers, leafs, barks, fruits, fungi, roots etc- depending on what’s available.

This walk will take place from Newlyn Green, meeting beside the Newlyn Art Gallery at 10.30am. The walk will last between 1.5 – 2 hours and we will finish where we start.

About Ruthie

Ruth Weaver BSc. (Hons) is a professional Medical Herbalist with over 13 years of experience offering holistic healthcare and plant medicine teachings. Ruth has supported thousands of people in the community and beyond since her practice was founded in 2012.

Ruth studied at the Scottish School of Herbal Medicine in Glasgow where she learnt from herbalists and experts from all over the world- completing her Herbal Medicine BSc. (Hons) at Lincoln University in 2012. Ruth has sought diversity in her inspirations having worked with and learnt from many leading herbalists and herbal experts from around the world.

Ruth shares the ancient art and practice of plant medicine to a balanced view of science, energetics and practical insights. She is devoted to her work with a vision to restore connection with our indigenous medicine through sharing the knowledge of powerful native healing plants and holistic health.
